Brooks set to return
Paul Brooks in action for Oxford
Brooks has not played for 18 months
Oxford striker Jamie Brooks is set to make his return to first-team action on Tuesday after 18 months out with Guillain-Barre Syndrome.

Brooks will make his comeback against Rushden in the LDV Vans Trophy and boss Ian Atkins is delighted by the player's return.

"James is 70% again in terms of strength but this is a great game for him because it is not a do or die three-pointer.

"It is a great game to see how far we can push him and he can push himself on his road to recovery.

"I still think he is some way off a League appearance but we can gauge that better on Wednesday."
