Oldham Athletic sign Dean Kelly but let Joe Colbeck go

Oldham Athletic

Oldham have signed Irish striker Dean Kelly and let winger Joe Colbeck join Hereford United on a free transfer.

Kelly, 24, has signed a six-month deal with the Latics after scoring 30 goals for Crumlin United last season.

Boss Paul Dickov told the club website: "What stood out was Dean's natural ability for someone who plays amateur football and only trains twice a week."

Colbeck, 23, has signed a two-year deal with the Bulls after being allowed to leave Boundary Park.

The former Bradford man only joined Oldham last summer from Bradford but was placed on the transfer list after 28 appearances.
