Penney open-minded on experiment

Dave Penney
Oldham and Leeds will each receive a £67,500 live broadcast fee.

Oldham boss Dave Penney is open-minded as the Latics make broadcasting history in the FA Cup this weekend.

Saturday's first round clash with Leeds will be the first FA cup tie broadcast live and free of charge via the Football Association's website.

Penney told BBC Radio Manchester: "It'll need a few more people to get more 'IT'd' up I think before it'll really become a thing of the future.

"Although it depends on the viewing figures they get, I presume."

He added: "I suppose it depends how well this goes. I think the England game was on the internet though I never saw it."
