Oldham Athletic striker Craig Davies has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2010.
The 22-year-old Welsh international's existing contract was due to expire at the end of the season.
After signing from Italian side Verona in the summer of 2007 he has scored 15 goals for the League One side.
"It was important the club protected their interests in a proven goalscorer," chief executive Alan Hardy told the club's website.
Davies, who played for Oxford United before moving to Italy, also had a loan spell at Wolves before joining Oldham.
Despite having been a first-team regular for most of the season, he missed the back-end of last season with a hamstring tear.
"We hope Craig now goes on to have an extremely successful season," Hardy added.
