Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws has allowed striker Leon Clarke to move out and join Oldham on a month's loan.
Clarke has only been used as a substitute since moving to Sheffield Wednesday
Clarke, 22, signed for Wednesday from Wolves during the January transfer window but has been restricted to just five substitute appearances so far.
Laws told Wednesdays website: "He asked to go out on loan because he wanted to get four or five games under his belt.
"I felt if I continue to give him 10 or 15 minutes here or there he isn't going to get the sharpness he needs."
