Bonner retires on medical advice
Oldham's Mark Bonner has decided to retire from the game rather than play on and risk a permanent injury.

The 32-year-old midfielder has not played since September when he smashed his forearm, which is now held together by a plate and nine pins.

He told Oldham's website: "I have been in the game for 16 years and can look back on a lot of very happy memories.

"The surgeon has told me it is better not to play again. If I fell on my arm I could be permanently disabled."
