Oldham sign Holden
Oldham have completed the signing of Bolton defender Dean Holden on a free transfer.

Holden played 27 times for the Latics this season during a long-term loan from the Premiership club.

The defender has signed a three-year deal.

"There is a sell-on-clause for any future transfers but I am delighted with the way Bolton have handled the negotiations and obviously it's a great deal for us," said Oldham chief executive Alan Hardy.

Transfer activity

Latics manager Mick Wadsworth has also completed a second successful raid on non-league Chesham United for striker Wayne Andrews.

Andrews has already completed his move to Boundary Park from Chesham on an initial one-year deal.

The 24-year-old forward started his career with Watford and also played for Peterborough United.

He becomes the second player to join Oldham from Ryman League Premier Division side Chesham.

Fitz Hall signed in April from the club managed until this month by Bob Dowie, brother of Wadsworth's number two and ex-Northern Ireland striker Iain.

Meanwhile Oldham striker Craig Dudley is in talks with Nigel Clough's Burton Albion, newly promoted to the Nationwide Conference.
