Eyre wings way to Oldham

Oldham Athletic have signed John Eyre on a free transfer from Hull City.

Eyre began his career at Boundary Park in 1993 and had a loan spell with Scunthorpe in December 1994 before signing for them for £40,000 in July 1995.

During his time at Scunthorpe the striker made 194 appearances and scored 51 goals before joining Hull on a Bosman transfer in June 1999.

At Hull in his first season he scored 12 goals in 32 matches but ended the campaign with a broken elbow.
