Nuneaton sign Davies
Nuneaton Borough have signed Birmingham City goalkeeper Clint Davies following an injury to regular number one Chris Mackenzie.

Boro boss Steve Burr made his move to sign the teenager on loan after losing Mackenzie for six weeks with a broken finger.

"We had to act quickly," said Burr. "At this stage of the season club's don't want to let experienced keepers go, but Birmingham have got a few keepers and hopefully Clint will come in and do well.

"I've spoken to Birmingham's goalkeeping coach Nigel Spink and he comes highly recommended."

Boro have also lost forward Mark McGregor for six weeks with a dislocated shoulder he sustained in a Birmingham Senior Cup game on Tuesday.

"I just can't believe the luck we are having," said Burr.

"In all my time in football I've never known anything like it. It's true when you're down there you get nothing.

"But we will keep battling and everyone is up for the fight."

The signing of Davies means Burr cannot play another loan signing so is on the look-out for a permanent replacement for McGregor as he looks to keep them out of the drop-zone.
