Whitehall will be a welcome addition to the Boro squad

Nuneaton Borough have finally clinched the signature of Chester City's experienced striker Steve Whitehall on a free transfer.

Boro manager Steve Burr said: "It's been a bit of a saga but Steve is now with us and I'm delighted.

"It's a massive bonus for me and the club. He's a quality performer at this level of the game.

"Chester fans are upset about it as they think he's one of their best players but their loss is our gain."
