Harley has more than 300 appearances in the top two divisions
Notts County have agreed a deal to sign former Chelsea and Fulham left-back Jon Harley on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old, who was released by Watford this summer after two seasons at Vicarage Road, will complete his move next week if he passes a medical.
Harley said: "I'm delighted to be here. I was impressed by what the manager had to offer.
"I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and helping the club continue their forward momentum from last season."
Harley, who can also play in midfield, came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge where he played in the same youth team as John Terry.
He moved across west London to Fulham for £3.5m in 2001 and has also played for Sheffield United and Burnley.
Harley, who will link up with his new team-mates after their return from their pre-season trip to Austria, added: "It's always hard leaving a club and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Watford, but I am relishing the challenge at Notts County next season."
