Notts County have signed experienced defender Guy Branston to help their bid to climb away from relegation danger.
Branston has agreed an initial one-month deal following his release by Peterborough just before Christmas.
The 28-year-old has since been training at Meadow Lane and will be eligible for County's home match against Stockport on Saturday.
"We need a leader out on the field and I think we now have that in Guy," boss Ian McParland told his club's website.
Branston's Peterborough contract was cancelled by mutual consent in mid-December, following his return from a month on loan at Northampton.
