He has not played since the end of the Major League Soccer season in the United States but is confident it will not be long before he is able to get on the pitch for
his new club.
"I just need to do a couple of things next week - some paperwork and then I'll be able to start playing," he added.
"I need to go back to the States then come back. As soon as they think I'm ready to step in I'll be ready.
"It's been about eight weeks since the season ended in the MLS but I've been trying to do some stuff on my own in the States and since I've been here I've been doing some fitness as well so hopefully it won't take long.
"I'm just trying to get used to the pace of the game and my team-mates...and then we go from there."
Findley agreed to join Forest on a free transfer last month after leaving MLS side Real Salt Lake.
