John Curtis hopes Nottingham Forest boss Gary Megson will offer him an extended deal at the end of the season.
The defender has played nine times for Forest since arriving from Portsmouth on a free transfer in February.
"I'm 26 years old and I've already played for eight different clubs and I've always tended to move about a lot during my career," said Curtis.
"People tend to sign me as a squad player and maybe I've suffered a little bit from that tag during my career."
