Johnson asks for Forest transfer
Forest striker David Johnson
Nottingham Forest striker David Johnson has asked for a transfer from the Championship strugglers.

Johnson, 28, fell out with boss Gary Megson during last week's FA Cup game after refusing to pass on a message while warming-up as a substitute.

"David and I talked about what happened and he has a different opinion, so it's unlikely I'll select him," said Megson.

"He has not been fined but he told me he's been here four years and it was his decision to be made available."

Megson added: "He believes he's fourth-choice striker but there's no such thing.

"Who I select comes down to ability, fitness and the number of goals a striker has scored. He's not officially on the transfer list but it's David's call he be made available."

Johnson has been linked with moves to League One outfit Hull City and Championship side Wolves over the past week.
