Forest play down Prutton talk

Forest midfielder David Prutton is valued at £4m

Nottingham Forest chief executive Mark Arthur has played down speculation linking midfield star David Prutton with a move to Newcastle or Aston Villa.

The Premiership clubs are believed to be trailing the £4m-rated England Under-21 international.

But Arthur has revealed Forest have not received offers for Prutton, or any members of their first-team squad.

He said: "We have had no interest in any of our players during the break and nor, quite frankly, do we expect anything until after the World Cup."
