Upson adds to Platt woes
Matthew Upson
Upson says he would like to come back to Forest
Nottingham Forest manager David Platt's injury worreis were compounded with on-loan Matthew Upson set to miss the remainder of his one month stay at the City Ground.

Upson arrived from Platt's former club Arsenal but was injured on his debut against Portsmouth two weeks ago.

The 21-year-old defender underwent a scan on Tuesday and has now returned to Arsenal as it was unlikely he would have been able to play for the rest of his loan spell.

Upson has said that he would like to come back to the City Ground to gain vital first team experience but that will not help Platt's major injury concerns.

He is presently missing long term absentees Alan Rogers, Chris Doig, Jack Lester, Mathieu Louis-Jean and Riccardo Scimeca.

On the transfer front, Platt is still trying to capture Peter Ndlovu, who is on loan at Huddersfield from Birmingham.

Talks are also continuing between the club and the Major Soccer League over extending midfielder Ben Olsen's loan deal.
