Forest bid for Blake rejected
Robbie Blake impressed in his time on loan at Forest
Bradford City have turned down a bid from Nottingham Forest for striker Robbie Blake.

Blake's three-month loan spell at The City Ground came to an end after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Wimbledon, and Forest were keen to keep him.

Manager David Platt travelled to Yorkshire to meet Bradford chairman Geoffrey Richmond but his undisclosed bid was rejected.

Platt revealed: "The offer was turned down, and as no further finance is available, we must assume the deal is dead."

Blake has been frozen out at Bradford for the past year, and seemed to have done himself no favours when he was quoted in the Forest programme criticising Bantams chairman Geoffrey Richmond.

However, he insisted he would have no problems in going back to Valley Parade and trying to fight for his place under new manager Jim Jefferies.
