Andrew Crofts lavishes praise on Norwich City

Norwich City midfielder Andrew Crofts has described it as a "pleasure" to be a part of the current Canaries side.

The 26-year-old scored both goals as Norwich beat Barnsley 2-0 on Saturday, but he chose to deflect the praise on to his team-mates.

"I think everyone out there was brilliant and it's a pleasure playing with the boys, I've said that all along," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"We have got a great mentality and great belief."

Crofts's brace moved him on to eight goals for the season, and kept the Canaries within three points of the Championship's automatic promotion places.

The Welsh international's second strike saw him receive a pass from Wes Hoolahan on the edge of area, before turning and rifling home.

I thought 'it's setup nicely to swivel on to it with my left', I caught it sweetly and was buzzing to see it go in

It was a finish the former Brighton and Gillingham man put among the best in his career.

"I've scored a few decent ones in my time but that's up there," he said.

"It was great to see it go in but the most important thing was the three points and a great performance from the boys.

"Wes has spotted me brilliantly, I took a touch, swivelled and caught it well.
