I am back to my best, says Norwich City striker Holt

Norwich City striker Grant Holt says that he is back to his best.

The 29-year-old has scored just three goals in the Championship this season but found the net in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace.

"I think that everyone in the last three or four weeks will see that I am getting back to my old self," Holt told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"I think that I have played well in the last couple of games. I got assists but the goals were missing."

Holt joined Norwich from Shrewsbury for £170,000 in July 2009 and scored 24 league goals in his first season at Carrow Road as the Canaries were promoted from League One.

City have made a strong return to the Championship, but the defeat by Palace was their second in three home games and fourth league loss in total, to leave them lying fifth in English football's second tier.

"We want it to continue, we're going to strive to be up there," added Holt.

"We worked hard to get into this division and now we're here we're working even harder to get up and stay up as high as we can.

"We've performed brilliantly in the last 10 or 11 games. We've been solid, we've worked hard and I'm sure the fans are enjoying it.

"We're disappointed after the defeat but we'll bounce back at the weekend."
