Hoolahan out for rest of season

Wes Hoolahan
Hoolahan has scored twice in 35 games for Norwich

Norwich City winger Wes Hoolahan will miss the rest of the season after suffering ankle ligament damage.

The 25-year-old limped off at half-time in the Canaries' 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle at Carrow Road on Saturday.

The Republic of Ireland international has scored two goals for Norwich this season after signing from Blackpool last summer.

The injury means Hoolahan has been ruled out of City's final seven games as they battle against relegation.

David Carney, who is on loan from from Sheffield United, replaced Hoolahan against Plymouth.

Matt Pattison, Simon Lappin or Ryan Bertrand could also fill in for Bryan Gunn's team on the left-hand side of midfield.
