Norwich manager Peter Grant has revealed that goalkeeper David Marshall could be out for up to six weeks with suspected ankle ligament damage.
Marshall was forced off in the 11th minute at Stamford Bridge
The on-loan Scotland stopper, 21, was injured in Saturday's 4-0 FA Cup defeat at Chelsea - and will now have a scan to determine the extent of the problem.
Marshall, 21, is on loan at Carrow Road from Celtic for the rest of the season.
"It doesn't look great at this moment in time. The best we can hope for is six weeks," Grant told City's website.
"He had an X-ray and that was all clear, but it doesn't really make it any better."
Marshall has made five appearances since joining the Canaries in January.
He had moved to Norwich in the hope that regular first-team football would keep him in new Scotland manager Alex McLeish's plans.
But the injury makes Marshall extremely doubtful for the squad for the matches against Georgia on 24 March and Italy four days later.
