Norwich have completed the £200,000 signing of Stoke winger Luke Chadwick on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 26-year-old arrived on loan in November and made an eventful debut against Ipswich, opening the scoring before suffering a knee injury.

Chadwick has been unable to play since and will not return for another month.

But Canaries boss Peter Grant told the Norwich website: "People saw on his debut what a good player he can be. He's a player with great quality."

He added: "He's still about four weeks away from a comeback.

"Because of the nature of the gash and where it was it's been a problem for him.

"He has not been able to flex his knee and work on his leg so we've got to watch his muscles and build him up gradually."
