Worthington hurt by narrow defeat

WORTHINGTON'S VIEW
Norwich boss Nigel Worthington
Norwich manager Nigel Worthington says his side let themselves down in the 3-2 defeat at home to Everton.

"We did not play in the first half. We were sloppy and weren't on our toes,"admitted Worthington.

"We let ourselves down in the first half with that performance. In the second half it was totally different.

"You have seen the worst and best of Norwich. After getting back into it, I did not expect to go on and win it, but I also did not expect to lose either."

Worthington's side are still without a maiden Premiership win in 10 attempts.

"The lads showed character and a lot of spirit, but they fell asleep at the third goal."

"The win will come, if we play like we did in the second half. If we play like we did in the first half, we will not win a game all season.

"There is disappointment, but I have no time for sympathy and it will be back to work on Monday.

"We have a cup game on Wednesday, so we have to get ready for that," added Worthington.
