The future of Northwich Victoria has been secured due to a takeover of the Blue Square Premier club.
A consortium has completed a deal with former owner Mike Connett and agreed terms with creditors, including HM Revenue and Customs.
The Vics are bottom of their division with just one league win this season.
"A new era for football in this town starts today and I can't wait to take Northwich forward," consortium leader Jim Rushe told the Northwich Guardian.
A winding up order brought by the revenue over an unpaid tax bill of over £350,000 will not now be heard with a repayment schedule in place.
