Abbey stays with Cobblers
Northampton Town goalkeeper Nathan Abbey has signed a deal to keep him at the Sixfields Stadium until the end of the season.

The former Luton Town keeper joined the Cobblers from Chesterfield at the start of the current campaign.

"I needed the security," Abbey told the club's website.

"I have enjoyed my time here, so I thought it was the sensible thing to do and I'm happy to stay longer."

The 24-year-old made his full League debut for Northampton on Saturday and kept a clean sheet in place of the suspended Lee Harper.
