Beye has become a fans' favourite at St James' Park
Newcastle United defender Habib Beye is confident the club has emerged from their mid-season slump and can continue to progress under manager Kevin Keegan.
"Everybody has realised what we can do with this team. Now everybody is a leader and we have 11 mini-captains," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"Everybody is enjoying playing football and we're scoring good goals.
"We need to build something for next season. It's good for the manager because he works hard to help us play."
Five games remain for the Magpies, and the Senegalese international believes they are capable of rounding off the season in style.
