Souness left to rue Rooney strike
SOUNESS' VIEW
Newcastle boss Graeme Souness
Manager Graeme Souness thought that his Newcastle side did not deserve to be beaten by Manchester United after taking the lead at Old Trafford.

"We were unlucky," he said. "We've conceded a wonder goal by Wayne Rooney. That is two games on the trot we've let in contenders for goal of the season.

"It's hard on us. We had a young team and I think we contained Manchester United well throughout.

"It was a very special strike by Rooney after us looking so comfortable."
