Slovakia defender Klimpl tackles Franck Ribery of France
Mark McGhee has added to his Motherwell defensive options by signing Slovakian international defender Maros Klimpl.
The 28-year-old has joined on a five-month loan deal from the Danish side FC Midtjylland, subject to international clearance and registration formalities.
With the arrival of Klimpl, the Well manager now has competition for Mark Reynolds and Stephen Craigan and cover for injured centre-half Brian McLean.
The Slovak was part of the Viktoria Zizkov side that beat Rangers in 2002.
Klimpl has a reputation for being a physical, straightforward player.
His former sides include MFK Ruzomberok, where he spent four years, and Czech sides FK Viktoria Žižkov and Baník Ostrava.
