McGhee was enthused by Ross McCormack's performance

Delighted Motherwell manager Mark McGhee hailed Ross McCormack's inspiring display in the 1-0 SPL victory over Kilmarnock.
The former Rangers forward ran the home side ragged in a first half that should
have put the game beyond Killie.
"I think the conditions made it a bit more difficult for him but he was excellent," McGhee said.
"He's so in-form he's trying anything but you've got to live with that as he's becoming a very good player."
McCormack set the tone with a dipping volley inside the opening minute and went
on to torment Killie's Tim Clancy and Simon Ford with some lightning runs.

Ross is flashing it up a wee bit and I'm trying to get him to be patient, to
wait for his chance to try his trick

The fortunate but deserved winning goal came courtesy of a deflected shot from
skipper Phil O'Donnell just after the break but the Fir Park boss was quick to
point to the McCormack's contribution.
"He's flashing it up a wee bit and I'm trying to get him to be patient, to
wait for his chance to try his trick," McGhee added.
"When he came back from the Scotland Under-21 game we asked him how he got on
and he said 'brilliant' so you can't argue with that."
At one point the pacy wide player ran off the park and round the assistant
referee to get on the end of a ball down the wing.
"I thought he had trodden on some kids in the front row or ran across their feet to get that. It was quite entertaining."
The visitors dominated the first half but went in goalless at the break despite
several pieces of driving play from McCormack.
But O'Donnell's deflected shot off Killie defender Simon Ford proved to be
crucial on a day when the poor conditions had a part to play.
