McGhee is busy searching for new blood at Motherwell

Motherwell manager Mark McGhee may look to Crystal Palace for on-loan recruits.

However, Eagles boss Peter Taylor has dismissed reports linking 19-year-old striker Lewis Grabban with a temporary move to Fir Park.

"I've been speaking to Mark and he was asking about some of our youngsters," Taylor told the South London Press.

"But we were not talking about Lewis. I think the experience of last year has made him even more determined to try to get in the team."

Motherwell currently have two Polish trialists with them, one an unnamed striker, the other is Robert Gubiec, 27, formerly of Legia Warsaw.

Both played in the 3-1 friendly defeat by Dinamo Bucharest and will feature against Lech Posnan on Saturday.

"They both did fine although the striker did take a knock, we will have another look at both of them and then we will look at all our options when we get back," McGhee told the club website.
