Manager Maurice Malpas felt hard done by after Motherwell had a late goal disallowed for offside at Tannadice.
"I'd like to know who made the referee aware, or the linesman aware, of what actually happened," he said. "They seemed to both give the goal then Dundee United player pressure possibly changed that decision.
"From what I can gather, the referee supposedly made the linesman aware that there was a flick-on. But they made their decision and that's it."
