Motherwell boss Terry Butcher was delighted to collect his first win in 2006 despite feeling his side were far from their best.
Butcher said: "That's the worst we've played in six games and we've won. It
was nowhere near the levels we have hit; that's how bizarre football is.
"It's a really big relief to get the three points.
"It wasn't a classic by any stretch of the imagination but we deserved to take the points."
