Strachan given Well chance
Strachan has not played for Coventry since August
Motherwell have taken Gavin Strachan on loan for an initial period of three months.
His club Coventry City have the option of recalling the midfielder after one month but he has not featured in the first team since his father, Gordon Strachan, left to take over the manager's job at Southampton. The former Scotland under-21 cap had a three month loan spell at Dundee in 1999 but made only a handful of appearances for the Dens Park club. Fir Park chief executive Pat Nevin said: "It is a chance for us to look and him and for him to look at us - then we'll see what happens."
