Paartalu signs new deal at Morton

Morton

Morton midfielder Erik Paartalu has signed a new two-year contract with the Cappielow club.

The 21-year-old Australian joined the First Division side in March after being made redundant by Gretna, who had just entered administration.

Paartalu also had a two-month loan spell at Stirling Albion this season.

Morton chairman Douglas Rae told the club's website: "To have a talent like Erik available to us is so encouraging for everyone connected with the club."

Paartalu made five appearances for the Greenock side after his March move, which saw him reunited with manager and former Gretna boss Davie Irons.
