Former England midfielder Paul Gascoigne has been ruled out of the race to become manager of Morton - because he lacks coaching credentials.
Gascoigne sent his CV to the Second Division club's chairman, Douglas Rae.
But Rae told the Sun newspaper: "I wrote to Gazza stressing that we were unable to consider him because of his lack of qualifications."
Gascoigne, who quit as player-coach of Boston United, was also linked with Cowdenbeath and Raith Rovers.
