Morecambe manager Jim Bentley has finalised the appointments of Ken McKenna and Stewart Drummond to his coaching staff.

McKenna, 50, will be the Shrimps assistant manager after resigning as Altrincham manager earlier this month.

Drummond, 35, is to take on the role that Bentley, 34, filled under previous manager Sammy McIlroy, coaching the first team and managing the reserves.

Midfielder Drummond will also continue in his playing role with the club.

Morecambe have also confirmed a list of nine players they intend to release.

Scott Brown, Tony Capaldi, Gavin Clarke, Stuart Hendrie, Andy Holdsworth, Chris Shuker, Laurie Walker, Neil Wainwright and Chris Wraighte will not be offered new deals at the Globe Arena, while Paul Mullin has retired.
