MK Dons have signed highly-rated duo Mark Randall, from Arsenal, and Andros Townsend, from Tottenham Hotspur, on loan until the end of the season.
Dons beat a number of clubs to the signature of 20-year-old Arsenal midfielder Randall.
Winger Townsend, 18, is an England under-19 international and joins after a five-month loan at Leyton Orient.
Both players are products of their respective academies and are expected to go into the squad for Hartlepool.
Randall, who was born in Milton Keynes, joined Arsenal in 2006 and made his full debut against West Brom in the Carling Cup in October of that year before joining Burnley on loan for end of the 2007/8 season.
He has since made first-team appearances for the Gunners in the Premier League and Champions League.
Dons assistant manager Karl Robinson told the club website: "Mark is a fantastic talent and is rated extremely highly by Arsene Wenger so we're fortunate to have him."
Townsend graduated from the Spurs academy and was awarded a contract in January 2009 but spent the end of last season on loan at Yeovil Town, making 10 appearances.
Robinson said of him: "Andros is probably the best player we've played against this season. he was outstanding when we played against Orient last month.
"We had a good following that day so our supporters will have seen the kind of talent he has."
