Wilbraham confident of progress

MK Dons striker Aaron Wilbraham believes his side can win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy for the second time in three seasons.

Wilbraham hit the first goal as MK Dons beat Northampton 3-1 to take them into the cup's Southern Section semi-finals.

"We've done it before and have the experience, so why not?" Wilbraham told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"We've got to take each round as it comes but I think we have got the squad and the team to go all the way."

The victory means Paul Ince's side will now wait until Saturday's draw to find out who they face in the next round of the competition, following their sixth straight home win at StadiumMK.

Wilbraham said: "We have got to make this place a fortress. We haven't done that for the last couple of seasons. If we can do that, because our away form is good, it will set us up for having a good season.

"There is another level we can go to, we just have to keep standards high. We have been winning games one-nil and have wanted to win them two or three-nil to settle the game," he added.

"That's what we did tonight, we have to do that week-in, week-out."
