Dons skipper given two-game ban

Lewington was a Dons trainee

Milton Keynes Dons captain Dean Lewington has been banned for two games after pleading guilty to an FA disciplinary charge.

The defender was charged with using abusive and/or insulting words towards an official during the clash with Leeds United on 26 September.

The ban rules him out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie with Northampton on November 10.

And Lewington will miss the League One trip to Charlton on November 14.

The 25-year-old was also fined £500.
