Preston midfielder Darren Carter extends Millwall stay

Darren Carter
Carter has played for Birmingham, West Brom and Sunderland

Millwall have extended the loan spell of Preston midfielder Darren Carter.

The 26-year-old joined the Lions earlier this month on a three-month deal but he will now stay at the club until January 2011.

Carter joined Preston in 2007 but was transfer listed by Darren Ferguson at the end of last season.

He has featured in both of Millwall's Championship games this term, but now faces suspension after being sent off in the 3-0 win over Bristol City.
