Whitbread played 38 times for the Lions last season
Millwall have transfer listed defender Zak Whitbread after he refused to discuss a new contract.
The 25-year-old played 119 times for the Lions following his move from Liverpool in 2005 and featured in this season's League One play-off final.
Managing director Andy Ambler told the club website: "Zak has one year left on his current contract but has turned down our offer to discuss a new deal.
"As a result of that, Zak has been placed on the transfer list."
