Harris to return soon
Neil Harris
Harris could be playing again in two months
Millwall boss Mark McGhee has revealed that striker Neil Harris is close to returning to training.

Harris, the Lions' outstanding striker, has been out since suffering a cancer scare.

McGhee, speaking after Millwall's 2-1 defeat against Tottenham in a pre-season friendly at the New Den, said: "As far as Harris is concerned he will be back in training in two weeks and should be playing in two months.

"The problem we had was that his cancer news actually got out before the proper diagnosis was announced.

"When the proper diagnosis came it was the best outcome we could have wished for. He had the operation and two weeks of radiotherapy and now we'll soon welcome him back to training."
