Celtic triumvirate Barry Robson, Willo Flood and Chris Killen have completed their transfers to Middlesbrough.

Midfielder Robson moves to the Riverside for an undisclosed fee, while midfielder Flood and striker Killen both join on free transfers.

Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan signed all three players during his time at Celtic.

Strachan has spoken of the need to add "leaders" to his Boro squad to boost their promotion challenge this season.

Robson has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with an option for a further year, Flood's contract runs until June 2011 and Killen's through to June 2010.

An offer was accepted last week for Robson and Gary Caldwell and a deal for the other two has now been agreed.

Caldwell has since signed for English Premier League outfit Wigan Athletic.

Strachan has been seeking to strengthen his squad during the current transfer window.

Irish midfielder Flood and New Zealand striker Killen were not in the first-team picture with the Scottish Premier League club.

During his tenure at Celtic, Strachan signed Killen from Hibernian in 2007. Robson was captain of Dundee United when he moved to SPL rivals Celtic in January 2008 for £1m.

Meanwhile, Flood, on loan from Cardiff at the time, followed suit last January for a fee of about £200,000.

Robson has been handed the number 17 shirt in the Boro squad, Flood number 14 while Killen has been given number 12.
