The German international was delighted to score and felt Boro created enough chances to get all three points.
He told BBC Tees: "The feeling in the dressing room is that we should have won. They were lucky to nick a goal.
"It was good to get a goal and we probably could have nicked it toward the end but it wasn't our day."
The German defender's partnership with young centre-half David Wheater has been flourishing this season, and Huth was delighted with another solid show.
"Him, Poggy [Emanuel Pogatetz] and Youngy [Luke Young] all put in good performances," he added.
"It took us a little while to get more solid but now we're defending well throughout the team."
