Siena have finally completed the signing of Middlesbrough striker Massimo Maccarone on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old's move stalled last week due to paperwork not being delivered to the Serie A club.
But he has now signed a contract until June 2010 and rejoins the club with
whom he enjoyed a loan spell during the 2004/05 season.
Middlesbrough paid a club record £8.15m to Empoli in 2002 and he moves to Siena on a free transfer.
He has made 102 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals in the process but has failed to hold down a first-team spot at the Riverside this season.
