Middlesbrough's television channel will close at the end of July unless new investment is found.
NTL has decided to pull the plug on Boro TV, which is based at their headquarters in Stockton.
The club's channel has been on the air for seven years and employs 15 full-time staff.
"While we understand the thinking behind it, we're disappointed that this decision has been made by NTL," a club spokesman told BBC Radio Cleveland.
