Middlesbrough striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is ready to discuss a new contract with the club.
The 33-year-old - who has just returned from injury - has a deal which runs out at the end of the season.
Hasselbaink faces competition for his place with Aiyegbeni Yakubu and Mark Viduka regular starters this season.
"I'm playing and I'm enjoying myself at the moment, It's up to the club. If they want to keep me, I'm definitely open for talks," said Hasselbaink.
Hasselbaink said he believes he still has what it takes to make an impact at the highest level.
"Of course I want to play as much as possible," he said.
"I'm getting fit and you only get fit if you are getting games, but it's up to the manager to make those decisions."
