Stags extend Chanot's loan spell

Mansfield Town

Mansfield Town have extended central defender Maxime Chanot's loan spell from Sheffield United for a month.

The 18-year-old joined the Stags on an initial one-month deal in October and has made five starts for the club.

The Frenchman scooped the man-of-the-match award in his debut against Woking last month.

Stags have also confirmed that reserve goalkeeper David Knight has left the club. The Stags face York in the Setanta Shield third round on Tuesday.
