Kuszczak agrees new Man Utd deal

Kuszczak has found first team opportunities limited at Old Trafford

Manchester United goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak has signed a two-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Old Trafford until June 2012.

The 26-year-old Poland international joined United from West Brom in 2006, initially on a year's loan, which was made a permanent deal in July 2007.

"For the club to offer me an extension when I still have two years left shows the trust and support I have," he said.

"I have had a great time so far but there is still so much to prove."

Kuszczak has yet to appear in the United first team this season, but added: "I want to continue working hard to ensure my position within this great team."

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted to secure the services of Kuszczak to supplement first choice Edwin van der Sar and Ben Foster.

"Top goalkeepers are hard to find and I believe we have three of the best," he said.

"By securing Tomasz's future we can consolidate ours."
